This gem has been on my radar for years! I finally got my hands on it from a reputable high end reseller. As seen in many fashion books and fashion exhibits the infamous sea shell satin jacket by Dame Zandra Rhodes. There has been many archives on the creation of this particular piece. The thought behind the silhouette and the print is what makes this jacket a work of art! The spiral sea shells print inspired the jacket, creating the circle shape. If that is not enough, the piece is quilted and embroidered! The pink stuffed rolled piping is so freaking beautiful! I am delighted to see that the lining is just as special. I have had such a pleasure stewarding this jacket. I am also happy to say that after some mending at the seam, this jacket is in great vintage condition. Some signs of normal wear. Tjere is a tiny seam split at the bottom of the pink piping that the tailor missed. This could be the last 1973 Sea Shell jacket to come up for purchase, they have popped up in museum collections.
