This has to be the oldest Lucie Ann I have come across. The label dates it to the 1950's! At first sight I believed it was extra small, but it's actually just shorter than most Lucie Ann pieces that I have had. It is composed of yards and yards of double layered bright pink nylon. I love this style of old Hollywood dresses with side slits to wear the braided sash around the torso to tie at the front. This gives the caftan a cape effect when you move. 3/4 length slim sleeves, pockets. Back zipper closure. The caftan is in great condition, no holes but signs of wear throughout. I did hand wash this piece but some of the spots did not lift. There is so much sweeping fabric that the spots do fade when worn. The price does reflect these flaws.

In the 60's, Ava Gabor put Lucie Ann of Beverly Hills on the map while she wore these amazing pieces on the hit show Green Acres. These peignoir sets and negligees were top tier in luxury designs. They were sought after by the elite Hollywood stars, and are still collected today! Yards and yards of sweeping nylon trimmed in lace or feathers would make anyone feel like a star.
