Vintage red Zandra Rhodes silk and tulle party dress is even more beautiful in person! The chiffon is light as a feather and lined. The dress has a gorgeous mandarin collar with blue and gold beaded detail. The collar closes at the back with a silk wrapped button. The shoulders are capped with a scalloped and hand rolled overlay. The sleeves are sheer. The dress is straight till it hits the knee. Then layers of silk organza, tulle, chiffon and more tulle bounce out with great fun. Creating a unique silhouette. The entire dress is painted in gold, bronze purple and pink by one of the best in textile printing. The dress is numbered 90/170 !!! It was also originally bought at Marshall Fields. Size tag was removed but it is narrow along the hips. Please see measurements and give some wiggle room.
Excellent vintage condition, a few beads missing at the collar and the sleeves have been wrinkled but please note that Zandra Rhodes pieces uses meticulous methods of silk printing, Do Not Steam.
