Patricia Lester dresses have been worn by royals, Hollywood stars and featured in period films and in Opera performances. The rare dress designer is known for its beautiful pleated silk textile that feels and moves like liquid. Lightweight even though it's constructed from yards and yards of a jewel tone turquoise blue silk. Embellished with glass beads in the same color as the fabric giving some sparkle. Butterfly sleeves. These gowns were sold in high-end stores in the 80s.This particular one is in great vintage condition, some missing and loose embellishment, moderate yellowing at the underarm which is hard to notice due to the pleating. The price does reflect these flaws.
