This is such a special piece from the iconic designer Hanae Mori. Beautiful ivory and mauve strappy shift dress with a huge rounded overlay. The under dress has a high slit for easy movement which is covered by the top layer. The yards and yards of her butterfly print silk is hand rolled at the seams. There is a fabric allowance, hidden side zipper closure. What a Bohemian dream, would look great with platforms or tall boots and a chunky sweater. This dress is in such great vintage condition. There is a spot at the front that did not lift at the cleaners, I did not point it out to them because I hadn't noticed until now. I don't know if it would come out if it was treated, however it gets lost in the fabric. Purchased from Bergdoff Goodman in 1979.
